| Test Results | Inky, opaque in the center with narrow purple border. Impressive Taylor’s style, elegant and precise. The nose is full of very fine and linear fruit, intoxicating and complex, but contained by a graphite minerality. Quinta da Vargellas gave its brand with the characteristic fragrance of violets, which hangs like a perfumed veil over wine, with discreet notes of citrus, wild herbs and rockrose. The nose is still contained, but with impressive depth and structure, with signs of complexity yet to emerge. In the mouth the wine is cohesively connected by agile and muscular tannins, firm and very connected, ending with a powerful wave of fresh and very pure wild fruits. A beautifully designed wine, with Taylor's distinctive size and elegance and the tempting promise of pleasures to come. |
| Gastronomy | Walnuts, cheeses with an intense flavor and blue cheese are excellent accompaniments for Vintage Port wine. Dried fruits, such as apricots and figs, also combine perfectly. Serve at a temperature between 16ºC and 18ºC. Ideally, we recommend drinking Vintage wine within one to two days after opening the bottle. |
