Founded in 1889, “Real Vinícola” generates, at the time of its creation, a huge confusion between the two Royal Companies, the new and the Old Real Companhia dos Vinhos do Porto. And it is through the voice of the people and commercial jargon that Pombalina Real Companhia founded in 1756 begins to be known as “Real Companhia Velha” and to use this designation as a trademark. The centenary Real Vinícola created under the auspices of the Marquis of Pombal has become, over the years, a purely heritage society, being acquired by the renowned Fladgate Partnership, owner of major Port wine brands like Taylor’s.

Vinification	The traditional fermentation winemaking process makes it possible to obtain excellent Vintage wines. The harvest itself was magnificent to begin with. Good ripening sugars and deep colors in the grapes were the raw material that Porto winemakers see only a few times a decade.
Test Results	Deep purple in color, with concentrated notes of jam, black fruit, plum and rock rose, aroma of very concentrated wine. In the mouth it is round and powerful, fruity with an elegant structure. A solid set that finishes long and persistent, giving it great aging potential.
Gastronomy	Goes well with nuts, cheeses and chocolate desserts, and can also be drunk as a digestive or with a cigar. Store horizontally, in a cool, dry place, protected from light and temperature fluctuations. Serve at a temperature between 16º and 18ºC.
