Founded in 1889, “Real Vinícola” generates, at the time of its creation, a huge confusion between the two Royal Companies, the new and the Old Real Companhia dos Vinhos do Porto. And it is through the voice of the people and commercial jargon that Pombalina Real Companhia founded in 1756 begins to be known as “Real Companhia Velha” and to use this designation as a trademark. The centenary Real Vinícola created under the auspices of the Marquis of Pombal has become, over the years, a purely heritage society, being acquired by the renowned Fladgate Partnership, owner of major Port wine brands like Taylor’s.

Vinification	The traditional fermentation winemaking process makes it possible to obtain excellent Vintage wines. The harvest itself was magnificent to begin with. Good ripening sugars and deep colors in the grapes were the raw material that Porto winemakers see only a few times a decade.
Test Results	Deep red color is an indication of the complexity of this wine. It has a strong aroma of fruits and spices. The palate is dense and full-bodied, young and balanced, showing an intense attack of floral flavors typical of the Douro, complemented by notes of chocolate and liqueurs, all built on a solid tannic structure. Sweet, with a long and velvety finish. A great nectar with great aging potential.
Gastronomy	It can be enjoyed as an aperitif or any other occasion. Ideal accompaniment for nuts, cheeses or desserts. Store horizontally at ± 15º C, constant temperature. Best served between 15 - 18ºC.
