Achieving that a wine has a strong character, a distinct personality, is the dream of its creation as an expression of a terroir. Bafarela 17 is a daring part of the Douro, in the valley of the river Torto, where during the ripening of the grapes the heat is stifling and the lack of water is constant. Very low and super-concentrated yields are the vine's response to these conditions. The man picks the fruit - the grape -, protects it and transforms it into a wine that sums up the expression of the land. Thus was born Bafarela 17.

| Test Results | Rich and heavy color, the intense aroma of ripe fruit has hints of chocolate and cocoa, as well as aromas of wild berries and flowers. Full-bodied, with firm tannins, but softened by acidity, resulting in a fresh, balanced wine. Powerful in the mouth, it is a wine that can be chewed and that impresses. Its decantation and service temperature between 15º and 16º C are recommended. |
