Since its first edition, in 1998, the Quinta do Crasto Vinha Maria Teresa wine has already conquered the status of one of the great Portuguese wines, having received the greatest recognition in the national and international press over the last few years.

Coming solely from Vinha Maria Teresa, the centenary vineyard that gives it its name and one of the oldest in Quinta do Crasto, cultivated at extremely low levels and with excellent sun exposure, this “monovinha” wine is a top-of-the-range Douro DOC red wine super premium that is only bottled in years of exceptional quality and always in very limited quantities.

Despite the low productivity of an old vine, the Quinta do Crasto Enology team achieves extremely high concentration levels with the grapes from this vine, which allows for a world-class wine, very complex and full of character, ensuring an evolution in the bottle. for many years.

At the end of the alcoholic fermentation, a gentle pressing was carried out.
Test Results With a deep ruby color, it impresses on the nose for its extraordinary complexity and aromatic freshness, with elegant notes of rockrose, wild Douro fruits and spice. In the mouth it starts in a compact way, evolving into a very seductive wine, where we can find tannins with a smooth texture in perfect harmony with retro nasal notes that remind fresh forest aromas. It finishes in a very engaging way, in perfect balance and with excellent persistence. A unique wine that expresses all the identity of the centenary Maria Teresa vineyard.
